This is a 20 month old Peruvian Rainbow Boa. Peruvian Rainbows have 40 to 45 scale rows at midbody. Brazilian Rainbows have 47 to 51. All of the Peruvian Rainbows in my collection have extremely wide dark markings on the head like this snake does. Peruvian Rainbow Boas grow larger and heavier than Brazilian Rainbows. This snake is almost six feet long.
