Ecuadorian Annulated Tree Boa
Corallus blombergi
Rendahl and Vestergren 1941

Formerly a subspecies designated Corallus annulatus blombergi, the Ecuadorian annulated tree boa has now been given species status because it is significantly different from the other annulated tree boa. Main differences between the two species include bone morphology and interaction as well as color and scalation differences. For more information on this, goto the Natural History section of the Annulated Tree Boa Page.

For what little we know about the annulated tree boa, we know even less about the Ecuadorian annulated tree boa. Almost all of the information about annulated tree boas comes from individuals from Central America. What we do know is that there are possibly three known locations in Ecuador where the Ecuadorian annulated tree boa comes from. Nothing is really known about its natural history.
